How did you start your career as a model?

I was scouted in Milan, Italy at the age of 15. Since then I’ve had opportunities to work around the world in many countries including: Japan, Taiwan, Korea, France, China, Thailand, USA and several others.

Could you tell us about some of the fashion projects and photoshoots you have done?

I’ve worked with top designers and I’m the main model for a couple of brands here in Japan.

What are some of your favorite brands and designers?

Lately I really like Tom Ford, John Lawrence Sullivan, J.W. Anderson, DSQUARED2, Joy Rich, Christian Dada, Onitsuka Tiger, Andrea Pompilio, Liberum Arbitrium, Marc Jacobs, 99%is, Flake, UEG and Ato.

Could you tell us a little about your fashion inspirations? For example, who are some of the fashion icons that got you into your current style?

I don’t really follow trends or any fashion icons in particular. I usually wear what I like and I think it suits me.

How would you describe your style?

People say that my style is quite personal or unique. I like to combine anime elements with high fashion items. I also have a passion for sunglasses.

How did you start your musical career?

I have always been interested in music and my first performance was in 2011. Since then I’ve shared the stage with some amazing artists such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Alice Nine, Penicillin, SuG, Screw, ViViD, Black Veil Brides, girugamesh, Versailles, Royz and many others.

Could you tell us more about any bands you’re currently collaborating with or personal music projects?

Right now I’m working on my first solo album. Many of my musician friends are taking supporting roles on this project including: Aoi (SHAZNA), Yukimi (ex Unite), Yuki (liraizo, ex Mix Speakers Inc), and Nimo (ex ACE), SHOW (VAASTU), MiA (Mejibray), Kizasi. For the creative direction we had been helped by the talented Misha Janette, who has styled Nicki Minaj, Koda Kumi and K-pop girl group SPICA. One of the videos will feature Hikaru Cho’s body painter and Mitsuhiro Higuchi’s artistic vision. Also involved in this project are: Tsubaki Takayuki, known for his role as Kazuma Kenzaki in the Kamen Rider Blade series, Si Oux, minori, amihamu and a few others Japanese actors and fashion icons. I’m very happy to show the first photos of my music video with KabukiGRLZ. I’m also part of a vkei band called Ecthelion.

Could you tell us more about your solo album?

I’m working with Oliver DeVille, one of Germany’s most successful producers. He is known for his hard, crystalline sound and for this solo album we had chosen a mix of pop combined with dup-step and hardcore elements. It’s a mixture never heard before, and is futuristic sounding I would say. One of the songs on the album will be featured in the television series Columns.

Could you tell us more about the band?

Ecthelion will be releasing a new single on the 15th include a lot of vocaloid sounds and digital effects.

Can you tell us about your experience in the band?

I think it’s great, especially in this genre. It’s quite rare for a non fully-Japanese person to be part of a visual kei band. It’s a unique experience and I’m very happy to have this opportunity to be part of Ecthelion.

Being part of the band, what things would you strive for and how do you see yourselves in the future?

I hope the band will keep growing and hopefully we can play on a bigger stage in the future and maybe tour worldwide. At the same-time, I also hope that my solo music will reach as many people as possible. In the future I’d like to keep doing music, working in fashion, travelling and enjoying my life.

You’ve been active for many years. What is your favorite memory of your career so far?

There are a lot of amazing moments so it’s hard for me to pick one. However, my career brought me far away from my family during the past 8 years so every-time I get the opportunity to visit them in my hometown I’m always so happy.

If you could receive advice from any musician (living or dead) who would it be?

Johann Sebastian Bach

Aside from modeling, acting and being a musician, could you tell us other things you’re passionate about?

I love reading and traveling. I also like designing and I’m actually in the process of launching my own accessories brand, which will be sold in some stores in Japan, including Gintoki in Harajuku.

What are three attributes that describe you as a person?

Determined, passionate, independent.

What is your favorite genre of music? Who are your favorite artists or bands?

I like all genres of music. Where artists are concerned, I’ve recently started listening to SIA and Gotye. I really enjoy their music.

Any unusual selection of music you have in your ipod/tablet/computer?

Opera

What is your personal motto?

It’s never too late if you don’t give up.

Do you have any secret talents?

Acrobatics gymnastics.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I’d like to be remembered for being a good friend and making people around me happy.

What is your next project?

My solo album and my own brand of accessories.
